Story
My Nanan was the kindest, most caring and giving person I knew. Unfortunately February 4th 2014 she passed due to cancer on world cancer day. She inspired me growing up, I remember the days we used to spend baking together as a little girl, I'd go to the shop and buy her flowers and I think that is where my passion for baking stemmed from. Unfortunately she never got to meet my children or see my open my baking business, but I know she would be proud.
Every year I set aside an amount in my business to offer something to help someone or a charity.
I have donated a wedding cake to a lovely bride on Groom who had their wedding at Ashgate hospice due to a terminal illness, many tombola prizes gifted to help raise money for charities, events stood and donations made.
This year I am going to be donating a huge 12" of my hair to The Little Princess Trust to help a child who has Unfortunately lost their hair. People who know me, know I've always had long hair and love to keep it long, it's like a safety blanket having my long hair. As well as the big chop, I will also be doing a bake sale with my business to help raise money for The Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
Thank you for reading. I will be having the chop in the first week of February, date to be confirmed. Please follow/like my business page www.facebook.co.uk/jdbespokebakes for bake sale updates.
