In memory of Harry Woodroffe
The London Marathon is a truly iconic event attracting athletes of all abilities from around the globe. Every year, thousands of runners choose to take on this fantastic challenge to raise vital funds for charity.

Story

Shooting Stars supported Harry in making every moment count before he sadly passed away from a brain tumour in January 2024. The charity stills continues to support Harry's family through their grief and are an essential support and comfort to them all.

Jacqui (Harry's mum) and Sam (Family friend) have been running together through times of grief and upset and have always found it to be a great release. They are now taking on the London Classics https://www.thelondonclassics.co.uk/ running The London Marathon 26.2 miles in 2025, cycling Ride London 100 miles in 2026 and swimming Swim Serpentine 2 miles in 2025 - in honour of beautiful, strong and kind Harry. Harry faced his diagnosis with absolute strength and determination, something Jacqui and Sam will draw upon to complete these testing challenges. Please donate whatever you can and support them in their first challenge of running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon 2025. Help continue Harry's legacy by supporting Shooting Stars to continue the vital services they provide.
