Story
On Sunday 23 June, along with a small team of volunteers and staff, I will be taking part in the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge, walking from Wotton-under-Edge to Cirencester, along a 47 km (~30 mile) route. We will be raising money for Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire, a small, local, independent charity that makes a big impact in my local area. I’ve been volunteering with them since 2022 and have seen first-hand the good work they do. Last year, Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire helped 5900 local people with 16,000 issues, but the need is growing all the time.
We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. They aim to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever the problem – by offering confidential, impartial advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Typical issues we help with include debt, benefits, housing, energy, discrimination, consumer issues, employment and family issues.
So that even more people can be helped with even more issues in the future, I would really appreciate your help in sponsoring me through this event – your donation really will make a difference.
