Story
Welcome to my fundraising page for Lobular Breast Cancer UK's Walking our Mammaries campaign!
After a summer of taking on some of the Lakeland fells, on 9th September 2023 I am walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Along with others walking their own mammaries, I'm taking on this challenge in a bid to raise £500 towards increasing support, information and research into Lobular Breast Cancer. Then in October I am joining a group of other women with a Lobular Breast Cancer diagnosis in the Peak District. We'll be walking from the village of Edale up Lose Hill to Castleton and then returning to Edale after heading up our mammary mound of Mam Tor, a distance that is just over 15km and a climbing of 652m.
Your donations will not only support my fundraising target, but most importantly LBCUK!. They are on a mission to ensure that everyone with a Lobular diagnosis lives and lives well. LBCUK want to ensure that everyone has heard of this different type of breast cancer that rarely forms a lump, and can be hard to see on mammograms. They want people to have the information they need to make the right decisions for themselves.
By donating today you will be helping us reach our goal and make an impact in the fight against Lobular Breast Cancer. Your contribution will help fund research into better treatments and provide support for those affected by this disease. Together we can make sure no one has to face it alone.
