Fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Society
On September 29th, 2024, we will be running the Berlin Marathon, to support the work of the MS Society.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.
Nearly 1 million people in the US and more than 130,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.
The MS Society has reached thousands of people each year with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. From this support, they campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community and invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS.
This will be our 3rd and 4th Marathon, and one of many fundraising efforts of ours to support the commitment to end MS. Whether or not you know someone with MS as we do, we hope that you will consider this to be an important cause worthy of your donation and support for our run.
