Story
Dear friends and supporters,
In March 2017 I took part in a sleep-out campaign, to raise funds for ex-service people and vulnerable young individuals. The impact still lingers in my memory as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those less fortunate than us.
During Black History Month, I plan to run the Oxford Half Marathon (just over 13 miles). Something I have never done before but for me, this endeavour is about making a real difference in the lives of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Oxfordshire. Imagine the courage it takes to flee one's homeland, only to find oneself alone and in a hostile environment. To many this feels like a hidden war and Refugee Resource is on the front line, providing the support and care these individuals desperately need.
Reflecting on my own experiences, I've come to understand the importance of support networks when facing injustice. I was fortunate to have a community that rallied around me during a difficult period, but not everyone has the resources or support I had. This led me to become an NLP Practitioner and Personal Development coach, aiming to empower those who face similar challenges, but not everyone has the resources or support I had.
Please support me to raise £5,000. To donate please click here:
These are challenging times, with the cost-of-living increases in the UK, but together, I believe we can make a significant impact. Your encouragement, prayers or please do come along to also cheer me on if can is hugely welcomed.
