My beautiful son Jacob Calland died on 27th March 2025 aged just 14 years old after being involved in an accident 8 days earlier. Jacob was riding on the back of another boy’s e-scooter when it collided with a car. Jacob suffered a catastrophic brain injury. The North West Air Ambulance service quickly got to the scene to provide Jacob with urgent life-saving treatment. They managed to stabilise him before he was rushed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Without the help of the air ambulance crew, I wouldn’t have had the chance to spend those 8 precious days with Jacob before he died. I will forever be grateful to them for what they did for my son. As a tribute to Jacob and a thank you to them, I am raising money for the service so that they can carry on their life saving work. Even the smallest donation could make a huge difference.
