Story

Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Jacob, I'm ten years old and I want to be a RAF Pilot when I'm older. To date I have raised around £130,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund and St. Gemma's Hospice in Leeds. This year I'm hoping to raise a further £25,000 for St. Gemma's Hospice in Leeds because they supported my mummy before she died from cancer when I was 7 years old. Three years on St. Gemma's continues to support me and over 100 other bereaved children across the city of Leeds where I live helping them to come to terms with losing a loved one.

Now I know £25,000 is a lot of money so I need to do something very special and inspirational to help encourage people to support me. This year on the 80th anniversary of The Great Escape I'm going to trek across the Pyrenees Mountains from France to Spain walking in the footsteps of thousands of Allied Airmen who managed to escape Nazi Occupied Europe during WW2. When I'm older I hope to become a RAF pilot so I can't think of a better way to not only raise some money for a cause close to my heart but also dedicate this journey to the memory of the allied airmen that never came home paying the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms I enjoy today.

Please donate what you can and if you can't donate please follow and share my story with others so they might donate and help support St. Gemma's Hospice and the amazing work they do in my city.

Thank you so much

Jacob The Pilot.
