Story
I'm running up and down Yr Wyddfa aka Snowdon at the Always Aim High Snowdon 24hr race aiming for 8 reps which would be 80 miles (128km) with around 8,000m of elevation in 24 hours from 13th to 14th July.
I'm raising money and awareness for Head for Change with is a brain injury charity. I sustained a number of head injuries during my professional rugby career and retried in 2013 after a TBI left me with a bleed on the brain and having a seizure on the training field. I've made a recovery that means I can do 'stupid things' like running up Snowdon 8 times in 24hrs (hopefully) but some of my team mates and many many others haven't made the same recovery and many more in the future will have problems with their physical and mental health so I believe we need more help and support for charities like Head For Change.
Please donate anything you can, no matter how small... and even better still come an show your support on 13th or 14th July and come join me for one of the reps. If you want to run, come on 13th July but if you want to walk slowly by the end of 13th and for 14th July I'll be dragging myself up very slowly I'm sure!!!
I'd love to see you donate and I'd love to see some of you come and do a rep, I'll need some encouragement... if you do come, bring cake and lots of it!
Email me if you are genuinely interested in coming for a rep and I'll organise and send you details davidjacksonfitness@gmail.com
