Story

So, I've done it again !! Ahead of the Hospitality Rides trip to Taiwan, I'm taking on the HIT the Hebrides Challenge, covering the equivalent of 185 miles from Barra to Lewis between 29th April and 6th May 2025. Great training they say !!

I am part of a team -

- Leon Trayling, Co-Founder & Director, ishga

- Hans Rissmann, Owner, Strathaven Hotel

- Jackie Marlow, Chief Operating Officer, UKHospitality

- Marcello Ventisei, GM, Kimpton Blythswood Square & Voco Grand Central, Glasgow

- Andrew Mackay, Owner, The Caithness Collection

- Glenn Woodage, Premium Business Manager, Whyte & Mackay

- Mark Hogarth, Brand Ambassador, Harris Tweed Hebrides

- Louise Rattray, Group Sales Manager, Crerar Hotels Collection

I wouldn't consider embarking on this without them. Thank you in advance to them for their support.

It’s going to be a tough test of endurance (and I now learn, wet and very windy) – but every mile will help raise vital funds for HIT Scotland to empower, inspire and develop the next generation of talent in Scottish hospitality. HIT, Hospitality Industry Trade is dedicated to supporting individuals and tourism in Scotland. Thousands of people have benefited from scholarships, skills enhancements and personal development.

Your support would mean so much! No matter how big or small, your donation will make a real difference to the future of our industry in Scotland.
