My beautiful mum, loving wife, nanny and sister and good friend to many passed away in the early hours on Sunday 10th September 2023.

Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2015 and her long journey of battling cancer began. She endured many rounds of chemotherapy, biological treatment, surgery, radiotherapy and specialised treatment on her liver. Over time these treatments took their toil on mum: she was exhausted, nauseous and sometimes in pain, but she continued to keep fighting. She had times of remission but the cancer always returned.

When mum was told there wasn’t any other treatment the NHS could offer, I felt this was so unfair. No one should be told we give up on you, because mum didn’t give up.

I want to help others who have bowel cancer or may develop it in the future and this is why I have set up just giving page in memory and my beautiful mum to raise money for continued bowel cancer research.
