Molesey Boat Club Row to Paris
Campaign by Molesey Boat Club (RCN CASC Registered)
The MBC Senior Squad are undertaking the challenge of rowing the full distance to Paris (2024 Olympics host city) in one day! All 491km will be completed on the rowing machine by our men and women to raise funds for our equipment this year!

Story

Our Senior Squad is made up of young athletes between 18 and 30 years old training to achieve success within the sport of rowing.

The Squad encompasses athletes aiming to gain selection for Great Britain at World Championships and even the Olympics. Whilst also including athletes training at the highest level while in full time work looking for domestic success.

We train up to 12 times a week, striving to make improvements and gain speed to compete at national races throughout the year.

We are an amateur sports club, relying on our own fundraising efforts to buy new equipment. Within the last year, our women’s squad has tripled in numbers and we are now striving to meet this demand by expanding our fleet of boats. It is a truly exciting time because we have now achieved parity in numbers with the men’s squad, but not yet in equipment.

So our senior squad are taking on this erg challenge to raise money towards our equipment this year!
