Jack Varney is raising money for Wishes 4 Kids
Story
For obvious reasons this is a cause close to my heart.
Please give what you can to provide a spark of light in a young persons darkest hour.
Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse.
Every month I get an incredibly humbling email from Wishes 4 Kids detailing what my donation was spent on that month.
We have decided to use this donation towards granting the wish of a 16-year-old girl who has been extremely poorly for most of her life and has not been able to leave her house in over 2 years. Her wish was to meet and feed a sloth. With your help we arranged for Talita the sloth to come and pay her a visit at her home. Talita arrived on her favourite branch and 'hung around' for well over an hour where our young lady was able to stroke her and feed her. It was so heart-warming to see how much this experience meant to the young lady and her lovely family and to hear afterwards that it has been 'the best day ever'.
