Story
I imagine anyone visiting this page probably knows why I'm here. Mum, Julia Rogers, very sadly died from Sarcoma on 30th December 2022.
I'm sure you all know how unbelievably stoic and strong she was throughout everything that came her way, and how undeserved this was for such an amazing woman, an amazing mum, an amazing sister, daughter, wife and everything in between.
Even if only a small difference, I want this to help with a chance to make a difference in someone else's life.
Sarcoma is one of the more difficult cancers to diagnose, research and treat, hence why we're here.
Now for the bit about Sarcoma itself.
I've chosen to run the 2024 Royal Parks Half Marathon for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
I'd also like to make a special mention to St Francis Hospice in Berkhamsted for the unbelievable care they provided through mum's illness.
Please do feel free to share this page with anybody you think would like to donate. Thank you for any support you can provide, it really does make a difference.
