Story
I'm no stranger to mental health problems myself - but I am truly #blessed that today, I find myself in a really good place surrounded by my family and friends. But for so many others, mental health was, is, and continues to be a massive issue, with around 1 in 4 people every year reporting they struggle in some way. NHS backlogs are at an all time high, and access to support so scarce, so every effort to support someone's mental health journey will make a real difference.
That's why, on September 27th I'm taking on the Royal Parks Challenge with Bupa to support Mind Over Mountains' 'Project 500' campaign (Find out more at: https://mindovermountains.org.uk/pages/project-500). We're aiming to raise £500,000 by June 2025 to provide more mental health support across the UK. Mind Over Mountains does incredible work, using outdoor experiences like hill-walking and treks, combined with mindfulness and the therapeutic power of nature to help people overcome mental health challenges.
The Royal Parks challenge is a well trodden route, with over 28 miles of trails across London's parks. We'll be starting in Bushy park and finishing in Greenwich park, which should take us somewhere between 11-13 hours. This is no small FEET (pun intended), so I'd love your support in reaching my personal target amount of £750. Every little bit helps, so please consider donating if you can.
Thanks in advance - and hey, I'd offer to buy everyone a pint as a 'thank you', but let's be real, London prices are no joke... Just know the thought was there.
