London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·

Our team of 50 runners, will once again take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, raising vital funds and awareness for our charity! Good Luck #teamabigails.

Story

On Sunday 7th April, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I am fundraising for Abigail's Footsteps to support parents and their families who suffer bereavement through the death of a baby before or at birth, and to advance the knowledge and expertise of healthcare professionals and others in supporting and dealing with the effects of such a death on the bereaved.

In July 2021, my wife gave birth at 19 weeks gestation to our first child, a beautiful little girl who we named Olivia Rose Jeffery.

It’s safe to say the time following our loss was incredibly difficult, but the support we have both received has been amazing. We are both incredibly grateful to have been given counselling sessions through Abigail’s Footsteps. We know first hand what great work the charity does. I would really appreciate it if you could help me reach my target in order for other parents and families to continue to receive the same support as us.

Thank you, Jack

A baby loss charity providing support for bereaved families and bereavement training for healthcare professionals. One of our greatest contributions has been the creation and funding of the Abi cooling cot which allows parents valuable time to spend with their baby before saying goodbye.
