Story
In September 2024, I am taking part in the Ipswich Half Marathon for Brain Tumour Research - this is my first Half-Marathon and will be the furthest I have ever managed to run. I am fundraising in memory of my Nanna D who devastatingly passed away in October 2022 after a short and shocking battle against aggressive brain tumours.
I have chosen the Ipswich Half-Marathon as my Nanna has walked along many of the paths en-route and I wanted a challenge to make her proud.
I would like to raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research so that lifesaving critical research can continue to be carried out to help combat this horrific disease and so that fewer people have to suffer like my Nanna did.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
