Paddleboard half-marathon · 6 August 2023

We are the childhood cancer experts working to improve treatment, care and outcomes.

Story

On 6th August, I will be paddleboarding a half-marathon along the River Wey to raise money for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) in recognition of Lucy, my younger sister.

More than 10 years on, Lucy is now experiencing serious ongoing side-effects from the harsh treatments that she endured between the ages of 2 and 5.

More research is needed into developing effective treatments capable of curing the initial disease with fewer side-effects, thus offering a better long-term quality of life.

CCLG is a leading children's cancer charity funding research projects into the development of new treatments so that children like Lucy can enjoy healthier futures.

Thanks to the generosity of Campbell Lutyens, where I have been interning this summer, every donation up to a total of £1500 will be matched!

Thank you in advance for your support!
