WALK FOR MOUTH CANCER
Mouth Cancer is on the increase! With my wife being a dental nurse, and my dad being a survivor of mouth cancer after his diagnosis last year, I feel the need to spread awareness and raise relevant funds to help The Mouth Cancer Foundation.
The Mouth Cancer Foundation exists to raise awareness and support for all Head and Neck cancers. The charity endeavours to promote, protect, educate and support the public, patients and their families. Informing people on the signs, symptoms, risk factors, facts and figures and key causes is extremely important and something which the charity is very passionate about.
There are over 8864 new cases of mouth cancer in the UK each year. 3034 lives were lost in 2021. Worldwide the disease affects 650000 people per year.
The charity is encouraging as many walkers as possible to join us in London's Hyde Park on Saturday 21st September 2024, for our 19th Mouth Cancer 10 KM Awareness Walk.
If London is a step too far then we would also like as many people as possible to stride a 10 K around their local area any time between Tuesday 1st October and Saturday 30th November.
Please donate what you can, it is much appreciated.
