Story

Howdy,

On the 17th May 2025 the 4 of us are taking part in Wigan & Leigh Hospice’s Pub Walk to raise money for the Hospice Charity.

Now I know what you’re thinking… “Why would we donate for you to do a pub crawl? That just sounds like your regular Saturday”

Well it’s actually an 8 mile walk around Wigan via 10 local pubs. So the pub part is the easy bit…

But it does come with it’s challenges..

-I have a bladder the size of a kidney bean.

- Lauren has no sense of direction whatsoever, even in Wigan, and will have no idea how long is left.

-Jack G is a lightweight, simple as that.

-Jess doesn’t know when to stop drinking, so will likely want to go round again

However, on a serious note…

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a charity close to mine and my families heart as it was home to my Nan for a short while before she passed away in 2011.

So I know it might not be a marathon, or a sky dive, but it’s an event that helps us do our bit to help this wonderful charity.

P.S… How do you even train for this? Drinking a Guinness on a treadmill?
