Gig Buddies with Thera
Campaign by Thera Trust (RCN 1090163)
Gig Buddies enables adults with a learning disability to live an active social life by pairing members to like minded volunteers to enjoy their shared passion together.

Story

For many people with a learning disability, paid support ends at 10pm, which makes a night out almost impossible, and 70% of adults with a learning disability say they would like to get out more in the evenings.

The Gig Buddies project matches members with a learning disability to like minded volunteers with a shared passion and views of a lifelong friendship.

So far, we have helped more than 30 pairings enjoy more independence, have new experiences and make lifelong friendships.

I’ll be doing the Kiltwalk with a group from gig buddies and my buddy and would really appreciate any donations for this brilliant charity.
