Story
Hello everyone!
As many of you know, just over a year ago we lost our wonderful Dad, Rob, to a long and difficult battle with Parkinsons and Dementia.
During his final days, our Dad was admitted to Dorothy House Hospice in Bath. Dorothy House offers outstanding palliative and end of life care to adults in the local community, and also to their family and carers. Their services provide physical, psychological and spiritual support completely free of charge.
Our family is completely indebted to Dorothy House for looking after our Dad with such care and compassion, and ensuring his pride and dignity were upheld right until the end of his life. The support and kindness every staff member showed us has been invaluable, and helped make such a truly heart-breaking experience a little easier.
We cannot thank Dorothy House enough but are determined to do as much as we can to give back. As a charity which runs completely on volunteers and donations, every penny is crucial to ensuring they can continue to support families like ours in their most difficult times.
With that said, we have decided to run the Paris Marathon in April 2024 in memory of our amazing Dad and to raise money for Dorothy House’s cause. It’s going to be a very tough challenge for the both of us, but we know we can do it with the support of some (hopefully!) great donations.
We would be very grateful for any donation, big or small, to help us give back to a wonderful charity which is so close to our family’s hearts. Thank you all in advance!
