We fundraise to enable young people to become International Volunteers

Story

After I have finished my sixth year, I will be volunteering in Honduras in Latin America with Project Trust for 8 months. Project Trust is a well established charity with over 50 years experience of helping young people volunteer across the world.

Throughout the project I will be working in a school teaching primary aged kids as well as helping out in the local community. I can’t wait to get immersed in a new culture and am so thankful to Project Trust for giving me this opportunity.

In order to get there, I need to raise £6950 by November 2024 so I would be extremely grateful for any donations you can give. I plan to have this page running throughout the rest of 2023 and nearly all of 2024, as well as hosting other activities like quiz nights, raffles and of course lots and lots of bakesales!

If you have any questions or would like me to do any jobs for a donation, please email me at islaj2311@gmail.com.

Gracias! Isla

Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement
