Through Swim Tayka's collaboration with local partner and NGO ETIV do Brasil, I will be undertaking a 4 week volunteering trip in November 2023 to Itacaré, Brazil to assist with swimming lessons for young children. This exciting programme will provide swimming lessons, drowning prevention and environmental water stewardship courses.

The long-term goal for Swim Tayka is to create a self-sustaining swimming programme up and running by the Itacaré community. We will then reach out to other local communities in the area building relationships for future exchanges and swimming projects, expanding the positive impact throughout the entire coastal area of Bahia.
