The G&S-athon is raising money for St Mary Magdalen's in Oxford by supporting the St Mary Magdalen Restoration and Development Trust.

Hard to believe in today's C of E, but the parish church at which I grew up had its own Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and from the age of three, I was dragged along to rehearsals because my mother was the musical director. G&S is practically in my blood, so this event is as much an indulgence as an indulgence, if you see what I mean.
