Story
* Update *
I couldn’t bare to change my story so I will add the update here - Sadly Eifion passed away at home on the 19•05•24 at home surrounded by his family.
This was my story ⬇️ but I will be now running in Eifions memory to raise as much funds for Ewing Sacoma as I can. 🧡💙
I am raising money to support further research to improve the treatment of Ewings.
This is close to my heart , my work colleague and valued friends grandson is battling with Ewing sarcoma as I type .
Ewing sarcoma mostly happens in children and young adults, although it can happen at any age.
So what better encouragement do I need to run 100 miles in one go by taking on The Epona Race in June!
This charity is very much in need of funding do please donate what you can and I promise I will try my best with my training up until June when I will be at the start line of the Epona 100 mile race.
The Epona -
The Epona 100 will be a mental and physical roller coaster at times with an accumulative elevation gain of 17,000 ft over 100 miles - this course packs a punch but also a big cwtch. There are plenty of runable sections with lots of downhill for those who love cutting loose. Since you wondered, we thought we'd list every mountain you tackle in order of ascent - Sugar Loaf, Skirrid Fawr, The Blorenge, Gilwern Hill, Blaen Onneu, Mynydd Llangynidr, Pant y Creigiau, Bryn Melyn, Tor y Foel, Table Mountain, Pen Cerrig Calch, Pen Allt Mawr, Pen Tywn Glas, Mynydd Llysiau, Pen Trumau, Waun Fach, Pen Y Gadair Fawr, Rhos Dirion, Twmpa, Hay Bluff, Twyn Llech, Black Mountain, Sugar Loaf for a second time - that's a grand total of 23 mountains.
Wish me luck 🍀
