We protect the Jewish community to facilitate Jewish life

Story

We have always used running as a way of coping. A time to sort out thoughts, decompress, think and dream. But also, it is what we do when we are angry. And right now, we are feeling pretty helpless and angry.

That’s why in February 2024 we will be running an ultra marathon around the Jurassic Coast in Dorset for the Community Security Trust (CST). The CST protects British Jews from anti-Semitism and works across the Jewish community, providing security advice and training for Jewish communal organisations, schools and synagogues. They facilitate Jewish life and deeply value partnerships with Jewish communities throughout the country. Their work is more urgent than ever.

We are not Jewish but our family’s Jewish heritage means this cause holds profound personal significance for us. Jewish communities, like any other, should be able to live without fear or discrimination, persecution or violence.

We will be running a half-marathon and full-marathon around the Jurassic Coast in February. I will post regular updates on training and progress (my 10-month-old spaniel, Hector, will be motivator in chief).

Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
