We fund medical research to help find a cure for PSC

Story

In April, me and my fiancé Ash Thompson are taking part in the Manchester Marathon. We have just completed our first week of training and alongside full time work this has certainly been no easy task 😅. This will be the first marathon either of us have completed.

We are doing it to raise money for the PSC charity and particularly for our close friend Gemma. Gemma is one of my closest childhood friends and was diagnosed with PSC in 2020. Gemma is now sadly awaiting a liver transplant and seeing the implications this has on her day to day life is heartbreaking. She is certainly one of the strongest people I have ever met and truly is my greatest inspiration. She takes everything in her stride and continues to smile throughout!

PSC Support is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by the rare, autoimmune disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). PSC has no direct cure other than a transplant.

Donating to my fundraising page means you are helping PSC to provide much-needed support and information to people affected by PSC. Critically, you'll be helping PSC Support to fund and drive groundbreaking research, taking us closer and closer to a administrable cure. Every penny counts.

Thank you. #LetsBeatPSC
