Story
I'm back again to put my knees and lungs through some pain. After completing a few 10kms I've decided to challenge myself again and go for a half marathon.
This time I'd like to try and raise money for the fantastic charity Brave Futures who work across Norfolk and Suffolk providing care to child victims of sexual abuse, helping them to recover and thrive. I've been lucky enough to see some of their amazing work through my job and it's a real privilege to work with these great people.
As an additional motivator, as I received a lower cost entry to do the half marathon on behalf of a charity, I will donate an additional £2 for every kilo I lose during my training, up to £30. I will also be running Run Norwich two weeks prior to the half marathon, so you get double the photos of me in pain, if that's your kind of thing.
This will undoubtedly be my hardest challenge yet, balancing this with my other sport commitments, still feeling the effects of long COVID and managing my ehlers-danlos. But I'm stubborn as hell and can't wait to give this a go.
