Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Iris, I am a 20 year old university student and I am organising a run from Land’s End to John o Groats to raise money for the Down’s Syndrome Association and Down’s Syndrome Scotland. This run will bring together a variety of people from different of walks of life to each run a leg of the journey, every penny raised will be split to go to these fabulous charities. The event is called RunAcross and will begin on International Down’s Syndrome Day (21st March 2024) and should last 14 days.

My little sister, Nancy, has inspired me to organise this charity event in aid of two wonderful charities. Viewing the world through Nancy’s eyes is one of the most beautiful parts of my life, she has taught me patience, kindness and unconditional love. She is my biggest blessing. The aim of RunAcross is to spark a new conversation and show the world the capabilities of people with Down’s Syndrome. Thank you for taking the time to view my page.
