Story
I am excited to partner with IDRF this Ramadan to help families in need during this blessed month. As we know, Ramadan is a time of giving, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
This year, I will be raising funds to provide iftar in Masjid Al-Aqsa. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who comes to the Masjid during Ramadan has access to a nutritious meal to break their fast. Your donations will help us provide hot meals, dates, and water to those in need, who would otherwise go hungry.
The Situation
Masjid al-Aqsa is one of the most significant religious sites in Islam, located in the Old City of Jerusalem. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims from all over the world flock to this mosque to attend prayers and break their fasts (iftar) together.
It is important to note that the situation in Palestine, particularly in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas, has been marked by ongoing violence and tension for many years. In recent years, the holy month of Ramadan has been marred by attacks on Masjid al-Aqsa, leading to increased tensions and violence.
Why Give Iftars?
Giving iftar to those in need considered an act of great virtue in Islam. It is not only a means of fulfilling religious obligations, but also an opportunity to extend charity and generosity to the less fortunate.
For many people who attend prayers at Masjid al-Aqsa, particularly those who face poverty, the iftar provided is their only source of food and sustenance during Ramadan.
Your opportunity to make an impact
IDRF is proactively making an effort to revive the true essence of Ramadan in Palestine. In an effort to support the community during the last ten nights of Ramadan, IDRF is providing iftar meals to everyone who gather at Masjid al Aqsa to perform Maghrib prayers.
Through our dedicated work, we are committed to restoring the spiritual and cultural significance of Ramadan
Let us come together this Ramadan and spread the spirit of generosity and kindness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.
Thank you for your support and may Allah (SWT) bless us all.
