Story
Dementia is the UK's biggest killer. There are currently over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and this is set to rise to 1.4 million by 2040 if we do nothing. One in three people born today will develop the condition in their lifetime and no one has yet survived it.
The Insurance United Against Dementia campaign was launched in 2017 and is an industry movement created and championed by leaders across the insurance sector, in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society. Together, the campaign aims to raise a heroic initial £10 million to support critical dementia research.
Insurance Day for Dementia is an annual opportunity for the industry to come together and UNITE against dementia. We need YOU and your fellow colleagues to get involved, donate and raise vital awareness with us on 28th November.
What’s more, we are delighted that Z Zurich Foundation has generously offered to champion the day and will be matching contributions and fundraising up to a total of £100,000. Furthermore, an additional £5 per person will be donated by the Foundation for every person taking an action in related activity, such as joining the IDFD webinar, a Dementia Friends info session, or volunteering on the day - up to a total of £10,000. This is a great opportunity to double your contribution and therefore ensure your support has twice the impact for people affected by dementia.
Thank you so much in advance for your incredible support
