Summer of Fitness Challenges

We’ve been busy preparing for our next Charity Challenge and a Summer of Fitness 😎 

The first event takes place throughout the month of June: The Summer Steps Challenge 🏃🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♂️ 🏃🏻‍♂️

Members of the Insight Legal team are putting on their trainers, set their Stravas and planning to clock up an impressive 500 miles to raise much needed funds for our Charity of the Year; Aurora New Dawn

“We will walk 500 miles (and we will walk 500 more), just to be the Insight Legal team to deliver donations to your door”

The Summer Steps Challenge, and the target miles, are to be covered on foot by running, cycling, walking, roller-skating, skate-boarding - anything that means the feet are moving…. over a period of 30 days.

We will share the coverage of these steps with you on social pages and on this page with the combined miles being recorded on our group strava account.

We’ll be following up the June event with some more intense challenges and ones that members of the team personally wanted to push their fundraising efforts and endurance towards:

The Twin Peaks – June and August:

Insight Team Members; Anne-Marie Picton, Ruth Hendry and Nathan Street are currently in-training to climb Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland on Friday 9th June and Mount Snowdon on Saturday 19th August as an extra step of the Summer Fitness Challenge.

Slieve Donard is the highest peak in Northern Ireland and part of the Mourne Mountains – our team will be starting the climb at Newcastle Beach and then follow the trail through dense forest and into the Irish Highlands, enjoying the fantastic views along the way.

Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and a challenging mountain to climb. Our team will be taking the Llanberis Path to the peak.

The team are new to climbing so these are personal challenges for them – please do show your support and encouragement with a donation to spur them on!

*Plot Twist*

⛈ Storm Betty won! So the team jumped on a different plan… 10 mile walk in Hampshire & then onto the Malvern Ridge, covering the miles & some of the height – we love a Plan B at Insight 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Our final challenge is to finish off the Summer of Fitness with our annual charity event... Twilight Runway Challenge

On Saturday 16th September, members of the Insight Team will be taking off from Blackbushe Airport (on the actual runway!) – but rather than taking to the air we will be running, walking, hopping, jumping or skipping a distance of either 3k, 5k, or 10K (for those a little more crazy in the team!)

We are raising funds for our 2023 charity of the year Aurora New Dawn who support victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.

They work to ensure that victims voices are prioritised and provide innovative services to meet the needs of victims, one example of this is their work with the Armed Forces which provides the only multi-advocacy service to personnel and their families in the British Army.

Aurora work closely with their clients to increase their safety, reduce the risk of harm and support them in moving forward to live a life free from violence and abuse. They offer non judgmental support to all victims and survivors who need their support, you do not need to have left a relationship for them to support you, they work with you to provide you with the options you need to keep yourself and your children safe.
