Story
Our beloved Dad and husband, Tony Cullingham, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Monday 18th September walking through our local park.
Tony was the light of our family - the most loving, caring, supportive and proud dad and husband. Forever putting our happiness and needs before his own, he made it his mission to be the best Dad and husband he could possibly be.
He will always be with us - in everything we do and everywhere we go - his legacy will live on. As Tony's friend so beautifully wrote:
The brightness of such a smile, the brilliant sparkle of such a mind, and the great warmth of such a heart, will always shine.
Earlier this year, in true Tony fashion, he set out on a search for a topic to be at the heart of an advertising campaign associated with Father's Day. This is when he discovered Dad's House UK:
Dad's House UK was set up in 2008 with the aim of supporting single dads, families and children in tough times, through pro bono legal advice, a food bank and social activities.
There are currently over 2 million non-residential dads in the UK and over 200,000 raising their children alone. Just in London there are 20,000 dads who are the main carers for their children. Although there are a number of organisations available to help parents, Dad's House UK aims to offer support for the practical side, from people who have an understanding of their struggles.
Tony proceeded to contact Billy, the charity founder, to offer support with an advertising campaign. He then printed Father's Day cards in a bid to raise awareness of Dad's House's great work.
Tony visited the charity to see their work (and apparently was intending to join the Saturday yoga classes!). He also met with Billy socially, having bonded over football.
In honour of Tony, we would love to support Dad's House UK to allow their amazing work to continue and contribute to their current urgent appeal.
Lots of love and many thanks,
Claire, Ella and Jake
