Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page, set up in the memory of Allan Basil, who we lost on Christmas Day 2024, far too young at age 45. Basil’s death has torn an unbearable hole in our hearts, but we know he would want everyone to remember the good times and live the fullest, most joyful, healthy, and happy lives possible to honour his memory. Allan was incredibly passionate about the great outdoors, and whether skiing, climbing, mountain-biking, snowboarding, or hiking, he was in his happy place spending time in the mountains with the people that he loved.

Lochnagar is Allan’s favourite mountain, and he spent countless hours having adventures in the Cairngorm National Park throughout his childhood and adult life. Allan’s family, and his partner Bryony, have chosen Braemar Mountain Rescue as the nominated charity to receive any donations people would like to make in Basil’s memory.
