Story
Ingleton Primary School community are raising funds for Rakehead Neurorehabilitation Centre.
In November last year our wonderful Year 6 teacher and her family got the news that every parent dreads. Izzy, their daughter had been in serious car accident and was in intensive care. Despite having the worst possible prognosis and spending a long time in Leeds in ICU, Izzy received some brilliant care and had such determination that she is now working hard at Rakehead Neurorehabilitation Centre. The staff at Rakehead have matched Izzy's determination and strength and are pushing her hard to repair her body and rebuild her strength.
Rakehead have given Izzy, her family, and lots of other families like them the opportunities to get their lives back and strive to be the very best that they can be after devastating illness and injury. As a school community we would like to give them as much support as possible to do this and hopefully raise enough money to provide equipment that can be immediately useful.
When the fundraiser is completed the money will go directly to Rakehead and won't be swallowed up in a general healthcare trust account.
Thank you for reading and donating and please get in touch if you feel you would like to undertake your own fundraising activity to raise money for this cause and add to the IPS community total.
The small print......ELHT&Me is the official charity for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. The charity encourages staff and the public to raise funds in order to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. All funds are for the benefit of our patients and their loved ones. Your efforts, support and donations make a huge difference for patients; improving the hospital environment, buying state-of-the-art medical equipment, funding research and teaching and helping us to go way beyond the NHS standard. Donors are able to stipulate how they would like their monies to be spent or which area they would like to support.
