Story
We lost our 1 year and 21 day old son back in 2006. He should be 18, heading off to college as a freshman this year - mind blowing it's been that long. If it weren't for the support of our local Compassionate Friends chapter, I am not quite sure how we would have survived.
For those of you who have not lost a child (we hope you never do) surviving means being able to get out of bed each morning...period. It means learning how to carry the weight of your immense grief and not let it consume you. It means finding a "new normal" where you build new ways to find joy and actually LIVE each day instead of merely surviving it. It means finding a way to move forward while knowing that you are not leaving your child behind - your child will always be with you in heart, in mind and in spirit.
Because of our Compassionate Friends, we don't just survive each day without Tylor, we live, love and laugh carrying Tylor with us in everything we do.
Please help support our local chapter by donating. Your donation will help the chapter support grieving families find hope, compassion, understanding and the knowledge that they need not walk alone.
