Story
After a year long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), our Nan Pam passed away peacefully late October 2023. She had many ups and downs throughout her time spent at the Macmillan Brook Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with the ups stemming from the amazing support and care she received from the nurses on her ward. She was also fortunate to have received lots of treatment, and we're so thankful to have had the time with her that we did up until her final days.
No one deserves to have AML, and we wish that Nan Pam was still here with us today - despite decades of incredible progress, only half of leukaemia patients live longer than five years after their diagnosis. Along with Leukaemia UK, we believe research has the power to stop leukaemia devastating lives.
To raise money for further awareness, research and treatment, we're running the 2024 Hackney Half marathon in memory of our Nan Pam and would appreciate any donations you are able to give. We know these donations won't bring her back, but will certainly give others the chance for a better life.
Thank you in advance!
