Story

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Ellan May Wallace (Stanhope Road and previously Medway, Jarrow).

May passed away on Tuesday 26th September 2023 aged 88.

May loved animals, especially dogs. She really enjoyed spending time with the dogs of family and friends. She looked forward to these visits and you could see the joy in her eyes and a smile on her face whenever the dogs were around. She would always have lots of dog treats available for her furry friends and would always ask when the dogs were next going to visit.

The funeral will be held at 2:45pm on Wednesday 11th October at South Shields Crematorium.

The Family have requested no flowers. Instead, donations in May’s honour can be made to Wag & Company on this JustGiving page or alternatively there will be a collection box at the service.

Wag & Company is the only visiting dog charity to befriend older dog lovers in their own homes as well as in care and medical establishments. Wag & Company do not charge for visits, instead they rely on donations to provide this service.

Thank you for your generosity at this difficult time.
