As per the wishes of LMA Member Services Director Ali Betson, the Betson family and the LMA are requesting donations be made to the Nightingale Macmillan Unit General Fund in Ali's memory.

The Nightingale Macmillan Unit (NMU) is based within the Royal Derby Hospital. The unit is a 20 bedded specialist palliative care unit which provides care to patients with advanced progressive and life limiting illness.

It was at the NMU, that Ali received special care and comfort and she recognised the exceptional work that the unit does on behalf of patients and their families.

Donations to the NMU General are used to provide patients with the best possible quality of life and to provide them and their families with psychological, social and spiritual support.

Please join us in supporting the ongoing palliative care that Ali and her family were so grateful for and feel free to share messages and memories of Ali alongside your donations.
