Story
Hi, and welcome to our page! 💛
We are excited to announce that we are running the London Marathon in 2025. Alongside this immense new challenge, we will both be in our final year of university. The charity we have chosen to raise for are Rays of Sunshine, an incredible charity that is very close to our hearts.
In 2013, my cousin Alexandra Sales, was diagnosed with Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. Tragically, she passed away in September 2014 at just 17 years old. During her battle, Rays of Sunshine provided her with a gift of her choice which brought happiness and comfort, helping to distract her from the trauma of her illness. Seeing the joy that Rays of Sunshine brought to my cousin motivates us more than ever to help as many children in need as possible.
We are asking for your support to help us complete the 26.2 miles challenge. Every donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and will help us reach our target. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for young children who will benefit the most, just as my cousin did. Thank you for helping us make an impact.
Thank you,
Imy and Em🌞💛
Alexandra 💛
Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and supports the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
