Story

In December 2023 our much loved, wonderful friend Val was given the devastating diagnosis that she has motor neurone disease (MND), a progressive debilitating disease for which there is currently NO cure.

We are running the Great North Run (half marathon) in September 2024 to raise much needed funds to help the MND Association support those suffering with this awful disease and to continue to fund vital research to find a cure and give hope to those affected in the future.

But we also run in honour of our awe inspiring friend who is demonstrating such bravery, grit and determination as she navigates the brutal effects of this cruel disease EVERY minute of EVERY day.

We know that times are financially tough for many people at the moment but anything you feel able to donate towards this incredibly worthy cause would be very much appreciated.
