Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
On the 6th of April, I will be embarking on a remarkable journey along the Camino Frances, also known as The Way of St James. Starting at Saint Jean Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees, I will walk a challenging 500 miles (800Km) to reach Santiago de Compostela in North West Spain.

Motor Neurone Disease (also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) is a devastating condition that affects the nerve cells responsible for voluntary movements. These motor neurones gradually deteriorate, causing muscle weakness and loss of control over time. Simple tasks like walking up steps or reaching for items become increasingly difficult, and eventually, patients may experience paralysis and struggle to breathe.
Over the past 15 years, I have been fortunate enough to be involved in clinical research into MND. Through this journey, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible patients and working alongside dedicated researchers and clinicians who are committed to making a difference in the lives of those affected by MND.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association is at the forefront of improving access to care, funding vital research, and advocating for individuals living with or affected by MND. By sponsoring me on this personal walk along the Camino, you can directly contribute to supporting people affected by Motor Neurone Disease, and those who care for them.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and secure. Your generous contribution will go directly to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Rest assured that your details are safe - JustGiving will never sell them or send unwanted emails.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement on this journey. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those battling Motor Neurone Disease.
Wish me luck as I embark on this inspiring adventure!
