Story

Hello All, just to update the event has been cancelled, as a team we are disappointed this has happened. Were in the process of signing up for a new event and will update shortly

Fundraising for the Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service has been a deeply meaningful journey. On May 25, 2024, a team of us will be participating in the Manchester Colour Obstacle Rush, not just as a personal challenge, but as a way to raise vital funds for this important cause. The work of the charity is truly inspiring, providing essential support and resources to those experiencing homelessness in our community. With a target of £500, every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact. Together, let's bring hope and positive change to those who need it most.

“The Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service (LDHAS) is a registered charity that provides daily essentials and in-depth support for the homeless, vulnerably housed, and impoverished of the Lancaster District, covering an area of over 566 km2 (including the towns of Morecambe and Heysham). The number of homeless people in need of our support keeps growing and there is no sign of it slowing down.

2024 has already been an immensely exciting year! On the 19th Aril, LDHAS moved from our old portacabin to a newly-renovated, three-story office, with a medical room, commercial kitchen, offices for casework, a lounge area, shower, and laundry facilities! This new building (2 Aalborg Place, LA1 1BJ) is our new home; we plan to expand our service offering here, deepening our support, in response to the cost-of-living crisis and lack of available housing.
