This is the 8th year of the Moel Siabod Sportif. Inspired by a talk the late Doug Scott gave at the Moel Siabod cafe in Capel Curig, where he told of the plight of the hundreds of thousands of people that were affected by the terrible earthquake of 2015. Homes, schools and whole villages were devastated by the earthquake.

The Moel Siabod Cafe has a "Reach out for Nepal" day every year, which is the perfect platform for the Moel Siabod Sportif.

The aim of the ride is to bring together local riders, together with those from afar, in a combined effort to raise money to rebuild schools in those areas most impacted by poverty and hardship.
