Story
Alright folks, buckle in because this is the toughest thing I've ever had to do. Now, don't get me wrong – I am not afraid of heights. I’ve leaped out of a plane for charity with nothing but a wire opening my parachute. But as a die-hard Manchester United fan, having to step foot – nay, dangle – outside Anfield Stadium, with the Scousers acting as my safety crew, fills me with a dread usually reserved for penalty shootouts.
You see, last year at a posh dinner, Lord Levy pulled a fast one on me. In my most regal voice, I agreed that Sense would be our charity of the year, aiming to raise £10,000 for Sense. Little did I know this commitment would have me taking part in the 'Cybertill Anfield Abseil' in support of Sense. Yes, Sense – the wonderful charity that believes no one, regardless of their complex disabilities, should be left out or unable to fulfil their potential.
Sense does amazing work supporting individuals with conditions like Neurofibromatosis, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Their dedicated team offers personalized support through centres, holidays, short breaks, and even in people’s homes. They're there for everyone who needs them, offering early intervention for children and supporting the journey into adulthood and beyond.
So, as I prepare to go over the edge (literally and metaphorically), I humbly ask for your donations and support. Every penny helps, and your generosity will inspire me not to faint halfway down Anfield. Thank you for your support – no donation is too big or too small, unlike my fear of Liverpool’s stadium. Cheers!
