Story

It is with a heavy heart that the Access Bookings family announce the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved co-founder Ian Taylor-Brett.

Ian died peacefully on Friday 29th September at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield with Patricia and his two daughters, Julia and Camilla, by his side.

Ian was highly respected for his decades of industry knowledge. He was a truly charismatic man, who wasn't only our manager but also our friend. It will therefore come as no surprise that the grief we feel at Access Bookings is profound.

At the request of Ian's family, Access Bookings is looking to raise money to benefit Guide Dogs in his memory.

Simply, Ian’s favourite charity. Ian always had a calendar from the Guide Dogs charity and would turn each month and gleefully announce the name of the dog for that month to Patricia and those around him in the office, before passing the calendar round for all to see.

Ian, you will be fiercely missed, and never forgotten. Your legacy will continue through us all.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
