Story

In 2009 I didn't know that my life would change so much, when I took my first ever Jack Russell pup Curtis home. Losing him after 14 years last June has been incredibly challenging, since he had become an integral part of our lives and, brought so much joy and purpose to me and my family. Curtis brought so much happiness and a companionship during our adventures together. He gave unwavering loyalty, unconditional love, and companionship that was truly life-changing. He provided me with a sense of purpose, as well as motivation to stay active and explore the world around me. Curtis had a way of teaching me valuable life lessons about love, compassion, and the importance of living in the present moment.

Since he has passed, I have had no motivation or drive and, have slipped into struggling with my mental focus and passion for life. I need goals in my life and sometimes I feel that I cannot function without him being at my side. While I feel this way I have decided to attempt a new challenge and give something back to dogs, that now need my help in return. I will attempt a summit of Mont Blanc Western Europe's tallest mountain in connection with Hope Dog Rescue and their mission is simple and clear.

"Our mission is to; reduce the number of dogs destroyed in the U.K. every year by providing a foster home, kennel space or rescue placement for dogs in crisis situations and; reduce the number of dogs, entering the animal welfare system through campaigning for change; education and the promotion of responsible ownership; and the provision of support to owners to help them keep their pets and; promote the therapeutic benefits of pet ownership and interaction with dogs."
