Story
This October, I will be taking part in the last-ever Goodison Park Stadium Sleepout.
I will be spending the night sleeping under the stars, in the cold, inside Goodison Park to raise money for Everton in The Community as part of their 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' programme.
The programme is dedicated to helping young people who are homeless or who are on the verge of being homeless. Sleeping outdoors, without heating or a bed, will give me a small insight into what those without a home have to battle against.
Even so, after the night spent in the chilly, October weather, I can go back to my house and enjoy a warm night's rest. Homeless people don't have this privilege : that is why all of us taking part are raising funds for the people who have to struggle on the streets every single day.
To mark the 134 years of Goodison Park, before Everton F.C moves to its new waterfront home in the 25/26 season, every fundraiser has been set the target of £134 to help homeless youth.
However, with all of our generous supporters, I think we can raise even more!
Aside from offering young adults a roof over their head in difficult times, all the funds you donate will play a large part in their development by providing them with access to key services including health and wellbeing support plus assistance with education, employment and training.
Thank you for your support.
