Story
Hello!
Thanks very much for dropping in to my Doddie Aid Just Giving page. I am raising funds for the 'My Name'5 Doddie Foundation', a cause that is increasingly important as we hear all too frequently about former sports people developing MND, by taking part in the annual exercise fundraiser.
Doddie Aid is a personal exercise challenge that takes place from 1 January to 5 February 2025 all whilst raising funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to help find a cure for motor neuron disease. MND can affect people at almost any age, stealing mobility function, independence, and lives. It inevitably dominates and defines people’s lives, and funding and supporting research is one of the best ways we can control the narrative of that definition.
My personal exercise challenge is to cycle 750 miles between 1 January and 5 February.
I’ll be on my Wattbike cycling through the virtual worlds of Zwift - something I started during rehab after my heart attack in Feb 2024.
With a target amount of £1000, your generous donations will make a significant impact. Your support will not only provide vital resources but also bring hope to individuals and families facing this challenging diagnosis.
I am truly grateful for any amount you can contribute towards this cause. Together, we can make a difference and bring about positive change in the lives of those affected by motor neuron disease.
Thanks for your support, it’s very much appreciated! I’ll be regularly updating my mileage from 1 January to 5 February 2025 on the Just Giving page so please keep checking in.
Cheers,
Ian
